I recently had 2 paintings accepted in the Under the Sky Plein Air show at the La Jolla Art Association. This was my first group show and I really enjoyed the whole experience. The two paintings were Alley Reflections and Sycamore Study, for which I received Honorable Mention. The show included many, many talented and respected artists and I feel quite lucky to have been included. The reception had outstanding turnout and we were spilling out onto the sidewalk.

A quick one done under a beautiful clouded sky. That's Cowles Mountain- the kids' favorite hike.

Penasquitos Path
"Penasquitos Path", 12x9, oil on linen panel
This is from the west side of the Penasquitos Canyon Preserve. I went with Bob Watt's class and we stayed at the entrance to the trail system, which seems pretty extensive. I'd like to explore this area some more. Pretty cool- lots of hikers and mountain bikers.
